Description These photographs were taken from the air and on the ground in late January and early February, 2013.
The coverage begins after a series of tornadoes moved in from the ocean and tore through Bundaberg's coastal towns of Bargara and Burnett Heads on Saturday January 26, 2013.
In the week prior, ex-tropical Cyclone Oswald had moved down the Queensland coast from the gulf, losing its intensity, but hovering long enough to dump extraordinary rainfall on the region's catchments.
This water caused damaging flooding across south-east Queensland, including to the city of Bundaberg and its wide surrounds when the Burnett River rose to levels never before recorded.
