One third of Armenians live in poverty and with the unemployment rate at 18% it is no wonder the younger generation left to study and work in the US or Europe. An all too familiar story for parts of poverty stricken Europe in the last 150 years, however, unlike their Western European neighbours, young Armenians do have a strong connection to their homeland and are returning to Armenia, along with a renewed voice.
